Gas Safety and Utility Control Design Considerations:

Description:

By the end of this class, attendees will gain a stronger understanding of utility control codes, including IFGC, NFPA 54, and CSD-1, along with the limitations of each. They will learn how to enhance gas, water, and electrical system safety beyond minimum code requirements and explore best practices for controlling these utilities across key applications such as science labs, boiler and mechanical rooms, commercial kitchens, and outdoor gas features. Attendees will also develop a foundational understanding of gas types and the unique considerations associated with each.

SPEAKER: Ryan Tassi

Ryan is a Technical Sales Engineer specializing in plumbing and HVAC systems, with a growing expertise in gas safety and utility controls. He works closely with contractors, engineers, and representatives, providing system design support, product expertise, and technical assistance to ensure the integration of reliable gas safety solutions in commercial and industrial projects. He remains actively involved in the ASPE and ASHRAE chapters in Tampa, Florida, engaging with industry professionals and staying at the forefront of advancements in gas safety and building system technologies.
