TOPIC

Description:

For this evening’s presentation, this will be a primer for Commercial Fire Pumps referencing NFPA20, where necessary / applicable.  This is not a design seminar, but an introduction regarding the use of Fire Pumps, issues of concern, controllers, rural & urban location considerations, NFPA-22 tanks, and packages / combinations of packages & tanks. We will touch on advantages of the different pump types, controller types, starting methods, concerns to be aware of with generator & transfer switch concerns.  Startup requirements / testing for Fire Pumps.  In bringing it all together to a conclusion, I will discuss packages by themselves and in conjunction with water source & power limitations with options to overcome these challenges. Each of these topics can easily take up a few hours for dedicated review / application to each subject matter.  Thus, this is an overview.
